(ODON) - Design To Delivery Inc. officially opened Tuesday in the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park.
D2DInc is a consulting firm supporting private companies and government agencies engaged in federal procurement and government contracting. The WestGate facility is the first office D2DInc has opened outside of its Washington, D.C. region.
"It is critical for our company to be close to our customer (NAVSEA's Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division), and the WestGate is perfect for that, so we're excited to be here," said Molly K. Gimmel, D2DInc executive vice president and co-founder.
"We are looking forward to a long relationship with our customer and our employees here in Indiana."
A certified woman-owned business physically headquartered in Bethesda, Md., adjacent to Washington, D2DInc will employ 35 professionals in its southern Indiana operation, with eight employees working in their 2,000-square-foot WestGate facility and the others in NSWC facilities. The company has annual revenues upwards of $5 million.
"Design To Delivery Inc. has successfully worked with more than 300 private sector clients in assisting them in all aspects pertaining to government contracting, so we believe they will be an excellent fit both with the existing commercial defense companies currently in WestGate and also to firms across Indiana," said Donald Schulte, executive director of the WestGate tech park.
"We expect D2DInc to add a new dimension of services to WestGate and we welcome them here."
According to Gimmel, D2DInc's service experience covers both civilian and defense agencies and myriad industries.
The company began moving into WestGate on April 1, and the facility is now fully operational, according to Gimmel.
