(LINTON) - Three people accused of stealing a 47-inch LG LED TV from Walmart on March 22 were taken into custody late last week after warrants were issued for their arrest.
Anna Rochelle of the Greene County Daily World reports that Graham N. Tackett, 24, of Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department.
Gerald Leroy Thompson, 22, Linton, and Paige Renee Kidwell, 20, of Worthington, were both arrested by the Worthington Police Department.
Police suspect they all played a part in a "push-out" of the television and a Samsung Blu-Ray player.
An asset protection officer told officers the three entered the store and Thompson helped Kidwell select the items and take them to customer service where she waited in line to pay for them. While she was waiting, Thompson left the area and Tackett continued to shop around before he left the store.
After Kidwell paid for her purchase, Tackett and Thompson helped her load the items into an SUV then Tackett returned to the store.
Tackett allegedly got a cart, went to the electronics department, selected identical items to what Kidwell had just purchased, then pushed them through the store to the general merchandise doors where, with a receipt in his hand, he left the store and failed to pay for the items.
All three have since bonded out of jail and were scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court this week to each be charged with one count of class D felony theft.
Thompson and Kidwell retained the same attorney, and waived their initial hearing.
