Last updated on Tuesday, May 7, 2013

(COLUMBUS) - Three people were arrested on numerous charges Thursday night in Jackson County after a nearly year-long investigation by the Columbus Police Department.

Deputy Chief Todd Harry says the investigation centered on counterfeit bills being passed at city businesses.

He says the investigation led them to a house in the 300 block of Kessler Street in Seymour.

Columbus detectives worked with Seymour detectives and agents from the U.S. Secret Service to serve a search warrant at the home.

During the search police found counterfeit currency, crystal meth and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested were 63-year-old Gary Moore of Seymour, 30-year-old Otha Bryan, of Freetown and 45-year-old Jacob Mondle of Medora.

Moore and Mondle were both charged with forgery and visiting a common nuisance, while Bryan was charged with visiting a common nuisance.

Harry says this investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected to be made.
