(BEDFORD) Three men were arrested on drug-related charges following two separate incidents Sunday.
26-year-old Casey Staggs was arrested after officers who were patrolling in the 1500 block of 16th Street saw Staggs arguing with a woman.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says officers stopped and spoke to Staggs, who they determined was intoxicated. Staggs denied being intoxicated, but then pulled several pills from his pocket and attempted to swallow them.

Police identified the pills as Gabapentin, a prescription pain reliever. But Parsley says those pills had been tampered with and the contents of the capsules was replaced with meth.
Staggs was arrested and charged with public intoxication on a controlled substance and possession of meth and resisting arrests.
Police also arrested 21-year-old James Hedrick and 34-year-old Daniel Pace .
Pace was arrested after officer went to serve a warrant on Pace at a home in the 1700 block of Fourth Street. When officers arrived, they found Pace and Hedrick and other at the home. Police determined Hedrick was also wanted on a warrant.
Pace was charged with possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance. He was wanted on a warrant from Orange County for failure to appear in court in a case involving stolen property and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. Hedrick was charged with possession of meth; possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance. He was wanted on two Lawrence County warrants for failure to appear in court.
