(BEDFORD) - Bedford police arrested two people after they were stopped for traffic violations early Saturday morning.
At 2:20 a.m. officers stopped 23-year-old Michael Russell, of Heltonville, at the intersection of John Williams Boulevard and Beech Street after he drove his vehicle over the center line.
Russell was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, owi per se, and owi endangerment.
According to police logs, officers stopped 28-year-old Lauren Ashley Freeman, of Mitchell at 3:04 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ind. 58 and Bell Back Road after they says she was driving while intoxicated.
Freeman was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while impaired.
Freeman was taken to IU Health Hospital for a blood draw and police are waiting for those results.
