(PAYNETOWN) - Volunteers are needed for a summer research project to monitor monarch butterfly larva at Paynetown State Recreation Area at Monroe Lake.
The project is part of the lake's Citizen Science volunteer program. New volunteers are welcome.
A two-hour training session will be offered at 6 p.m. June 14 at Paynetown.
Volunteers will learn how to look for monarch larva, identify their stages of development and properly record data observations.
