(BLOOMINGTON) - A 20-year-old Bloomington woman reported she was grabbed around the waist by a male who said he had a gun early Saturday morning.
The woman was able to escape unharmed and called police.
Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Dana Cole says the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. near Seventh and Washington streets.
The woman told police she at first thought it was a friend playing a trick on her, but soon realized she did not know the man and that he had a gun.
After getting free from the man's grip she ran to a nearby friend's home and called police.
The woman told police the man, who was white, in his early 20s, with blonde hair and scruffy-facial hair, ran south on North Lincoln Street. Police were unable to find the man.
Police arrested a man for the April attack of a woman on the B-Line Trail, but say each incident should deter people, especially young women, from walking alone at night.
