(PATOKA) - Join the naturalists for a behind the scenes view of the necessary care provided for the red-tailed hawk and eastern screech owl on Sunday, at 1 p.m. at the Patoka Lake Visitor Center.
See how Patoka staff must care for the birds of prey.
Watch the staff as they change the birds' jesses (ankle straps) and trim their beaks and talons.
Discover what it takes to keep these birds healthy and ready for programs.
There is a $5/person fee. Pre-registration is required by calling the Patoka Lake Visitor Center at (812)685-2447.
The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents or $7 out of state is required.
