(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Commissioners awarded bids to CLR to rebuild the bridge in Leesville and to RW Armstrong to complete the 2014 bridge inspection for the county Tuesday morning.
Bridge Supervisor Bob Dillon says he looked over the bridge inspection bids and rated them on a state approval scale RW Armstrong was his recommendation to do the counties 125 bridge inspections.
The county also received two bids to repair bridge number 55. CLR bet out the competitor by more than $37,000 to redo bridge 55.
The bridge is on Leesville Road over Guthrie Creek, between Leesville and Fort Ritner.
Dillon hopes to have the bridge repaired and open by the time school starts.
