(SALEM) - Once again, there has been a changing of the guard at Delaney Park.
The Leader Democrat reports that Board President Tim Rainbolt, says the Park Board terminated manager Alvin "Moe" Burman saying he wasn't meeting board expectations.
The board has moved assistant manager Johnny Burlington into the manager's position. He has been working for the park for about a year.
Rainbolt would not specify what he meant by expectations. "I would rather just leave it that way," he said. "We just don't feel like it could be managed as good as it could be managed."
"We on the board are very appreciative of Moe stepping in," Rainbolt said. "He did the best he could do but it was not good enough for us."
The board will now conduct a search for someone to fill the assistant manager's position.
