(LINTON) - Greene County General Hospital hosted the ribbon cutting for the first phase of the $7.5 million construction project Tuesday.
Hospital employees, administrators and community members gathered outside the new entrance of the hospital to celebrate the opening of the new entrance, lobby, gift shop and chapel.
Hospital board members Ralph Hiatt and Barbara Rollison, led the cutting of the ribbon.
Hiatt stressed to attendees the hospital is county owned and is dedicated to serving all residents of Greene County. Reetz noted most importantly, the hospital employees have done an incredible job of staying on task despite the interruptions of the construction.
