(SALEM) - A Hardinsburg teen who advanced to regional golf competition was arrested on drunken driving charge last weekend.
Nancy Grossman of the Leader Democrat reports, 18-year-old Brady Millholland, of Hardinsburg, was arrested after being stopped by Salem City Police Officer Chad Webb.
According to a police report, Millholland's blood alcohol level measured .097 at the scene.
Millholland was arrested and charged with operating vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.
Webb stopped Millholland, who was driving a Dodge Dart, on State Road 56 West at 1:41 a.m. June 8. Millholland was clocked traveling 78 miles per hour. Millholland told Officer Webb he was speeding because he was late for his curfew.
When asked if he had been drinking, Millholland did not reply.
Millholland reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was arrested.
Webb says Millholland was cooperative and respectful throughout the proceedings.
