(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to switch single-lane traffic on U.S. 50 East at the Back Creek bridge, 1.89 miles east of State Road 446 in Lawrence County, to the north side of the bridge after crews reposition a barrier wall Tuesday.
The change in traffic pattern will allow construction crews to work on the southern half of the bridge.
Ragle Construction is the state's contractor for the bridge deck overlay project.
Temporary signals have control the one-lane-at-a-time traffic on the bridge since April. INDOT anticipates normalizing two-way traffic in September.
