(BLOOMINGTON) - It was loud in Bloomington Wednesday afternoon.
Indiana State Police experts detonated explosives on the east side of the city as part of a class at the Indiana University Police Academy.
The explosives were set off from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the old IU Outdoor Firearms Range at the dead end of Range Road off East 10th Street.
A police dog trained to detect explosives and its handler gave demonstrations to the cadets and officers.
