(BLOOMINGTON) - A 26-year-old Bloomington man was arrested after he got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend Sunday afternoon.
According to Bloomington Sgt. Joe Crider, George Langley was arrested and charged with criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, domestic violence in the presence of a minor, interfering with reporting a crime and criminal mischief.
The woman told police the argument started after a text message was sent to Langley, the father of her children, by mistake.
That text message then sparked an argument about money.
The woman told police that as she tried to leave in her car, Langley pulled on her clothes and hair through the open window. He also attempted to grab her keys, but she was able to start the vehicle and leave.
That is when Langley allegedly got into his vehicle and raced after the woman and was able to park his car in her way preventing her from leaving. He then took a small pocket knife and slashed her front tires.
Langley told police he did not physically injury his ex girlfriend, but he did admit to puncture her tires.
