(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man faces a charge of attempted murder after he told police he fired a shotgun at a vehicle after an argument on the city’s south side Thursday night.
Police report a 41-year-old man and his 7-year-old daughter were inside the vehicle and had been chased out of an apartment by Larry Gibson, who said he fired a shot from a single-barrel 12-gauge shotgun in their direction. No one was injured in the shooting.
Gibson was booked into the Monroe County Jail Friday on preliminary felony charges of attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a firearm and pointing a firearm. He is being held at the jail on no bond.
