(ORLEANS) - Orange County Music & Heritage Reunion is this weekend at 6 p.m.
The reunion, which is free, promises more than 40 hours of all-acoustic music. At least 30 groups or individuals have been given time slots on the reunion's two stages.
Marty Shelton, one of the event's organizers, has been responsible for lining up the musical acts. He had the same task last year for the first Orange County Music & Heritage Reunion.
Shelton said audience members this Friday night and Saturday "are going to see quite a bit of what they have seen in the past. I do have several new bands or acts this year."
Shelton pointed out that two of the groups -- Harpeth Rising (featuring former Paoli resident Jordana Greenberg) and Blue Mafia -- tour nationally.
The reunion is possible thanks to the support of the musicians on stage, audience donations, corporate underwriters Hall Brothers Transportation and Infrastructure Systems and grants from Historic Orleans and Visit French Lick-West Baden.
Volunteers make the reunion happen.
