(HARDINSBURG) - 21-year-old Brandon Neace, was arrested Wednesday after police found him asleep while he was making meth.
According to police officers went to the home of his grandparents on U.S. 150 in Hardinsburg armed with a search warrant.
Neace lives with his grandparents.
A spokesman with the drug task force says officers found Neace in his bedroom asleep and a pot with chemicals used to make meth on a hot plate in the closet.
They also found syringes and chemicals to make the drugs. In a wooded area outside the home they found the waste by-products from making meth.
Neace was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. He is being charged a felony charge of manufacturing meth under 3 grams; possession of meth; possession of chemical precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia.
