(SALEM) - Three people were arrested Saturday after witnesses reported the young men were riding on the trunk of a vehicle drinking beer.
The Leader Democrat reports, Salem Police were call shortly after 11 p.m. to North High Street.
Police found the vehicle on Locus Street, but there were on two boys on the truck. The car entered Rolling Way Subdivision, with no one on the trunk.
Officers attempted to block the subdivision and that is when the vehicle sped off. Police followed when the vehicle veered left of the center line and eventually pulled over.
The driver 20-year-old Robert Chandler, of Campbellsburg, had three passengers in this car, two boys and a girl.
Police found a case of Bud Light on the rear floorboard. Police say the driver Chandler, had not been drinking. His passengers tested positive for drinking.
18-year-old Sean Keller and 19-year-old Devon Keller both of Campbellsburg were charged with illegal possession of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Chandler was also charged with those crimes and criminal recklessness, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance.
The minor girl was released to her mother.
The two boys who were riding on the back of the car were Nicholas Ritchey and Thomas Lewis, they had been dropped off at Ritchey's home on Pilgrim Way. Police charged them with criminal recklessness.
