(SEYMOUR) - On Thursday at approximately 5 a.m. Indiana State Police troopers along with Seymour Police Department officers went to 10704 N. State Road 11 to investigate a possible stolen motorcycle.
Trooper Jared Black had noticed a black motorcycle parked behind the residence when he was serving a warrant approximately one week prior which matched the description of a motorcycle that had been reported stolen to Seymour Police Department.
The motorcycle was still parked behind the residence when officers arrived.
According to ISP Sergeant Noel Houze, during the course of the investigation, six persons were arrested at the scene and Seymour Police Department seized the motorcycle.
As the investigation continued, a search warrant was obtained for the home and the outbuildings.
The warrant was executed and officers located several articles including a stolen handgun, stolen motorcycle parts, stolen tools, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and precursors for manufacturing methamphetamine.
During the course of the investigation at the residence on S.R. 11, ISP officers received an anonymous tip from an informant who indicated a stolen four wheel ATV and several other stolen items were at Douglas Hatfield and Bambi Day's residence at 127 E. Harrison Street in Seymour.
A search warrant was obtained for that residence and executed. During the course of that search, several items were seized including a Yamaha ATV, several drug related items, and other stolen property.
