(SOLSBERRY) - A Solsberry man was killed and four others were injured in an Eastern Greene County crash Wednesday night.
According to Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeff Brown the accident happened on State Road 43, south of Washboard Road.
According Deputy Brown, 18-year-old Timothy Cissna, of Solsberry was traveling north on State Road 43 in a 1999 Dodge 2500 pickup and had passed another vehicle at a high-rate of speed, when he lost control of the truck and over corrected causing the vehicle to roll several times before leaving the roadway and hitting a tree.
Cissna was thrown from the truck along with four other passengers. Police say no one was wearing a seat belt.
Cissna was pronounced dead at the scene.
Passengers 18-year-old Ashley Miller, of Bloomington; 18-year-old Shelby Kleindorfer, of Unionville; 18-year-old Dylan Corbin, of Solsberry; and 18-year-old Justin Robertson, of Solsberry were injured.
Kleindorfer was transported by Air Evac medical helicopter to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The other three passengers were taken by ambulance to IU Bloomington Hospital.
Deputy Brown say one of the passengers was trapped under the truck's front wheels.
An Indiana State Police accident reconstructionist was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Also assisting were personnel from the Indiana State Police, Greene County Ambulance Service, Center Township Fire Department, Eastern Fire Department, IU-Bloomington Hospital Ambulance Service and the Greene County Coroner's office.
