(SPRINGVILLE) - Springville residents Ron and Phyllis Thompson are celebrating the recent arrivals of When the Stars Go Blue and Dobbins’ Blue Satin, two frisky foals craving love and attention.
You are invited to attend the celebration of their birth on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on their 40-acre spread Three T Rockies, just off Spencer Pike.
Ron is retired from Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. He and Phyllis adopted three thoroughbreds in 2006 following a visit to the Maker's Mark Secretariat Center Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Then, last year, Ron's granddaughter, Allison Thompson claimed the Carson Masters Juvenile Versatility Award at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena. That achievement capped a productive summer that also included several class champion ribbons at a national competition in Cloverdale, a first in gaited classes at the Lawrence County 4-H Fair, and reserve grand class champion at the Indiana State Fair.
Refreshments will be served. For more detailed information, call 275-2339 or 272-0956.
