(OWENSBURG) - A Springville woman and her 14-year-old passenger were injured during a one-vehicle accident Sunday.
Marcia Hooten, 37, Springville, and her passenger were sent to Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital after the crash.
Hooten was wearing a seat belt, but the passenger was not, according to a Greene County Sheriff's Department press release.
The release said it was unknown how severe the injuries were or the nature of the injuries.
According to the release, Hooten "was traveling south on State Road 45 when the vehicle left the west side of (the) roadway."
Hooten then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go off the road and hit a utility pole, the report stated.
The vehicle stopped in a wooded area, according to police.
Both occupants were taken to the hospital by Greene County ambulances, the release stated. Center Township Fire Department and Rescue also responded.
When more information was sought about the accident, including the name of the passenger and the extent of injuries, the Greene County Sheriff's Department refused to release the additional information.
