(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man was arrested after he ran from the scene of an accident Saturday night.
According to Washington Police, 28-year-old Daniel Mead, of Washington was driving west on Old U.S. 50 when he saw a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling south on Clark Road.
The driver of the Cavalier, 37-year-old Miguel Mendez, of Washington, failed to stop at the intersection and crashed head-on into Mead's vehicle.
Mendez ran from the crash scene and was arrested about a half a mile away.
Police say he had a blood-alcohol content of .25 percent and was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and never having a driver's license and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
