(BLOOMFIELD) - A warrant was issued after Greene County Courthouse security found pot in a woman’s purse.
Police says Angela Gray, of Wheatland, is facing a charge of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction.
According to a probably cause affidavit on June 3rd Gray entered the Greene County Courthouse and was going through courthouse security when Deputy Dustin Cain found the marijuana while he was looking through Gray's purse checking for weapons.
When Cain opened the purse the marijuana was in plain sight, in a clear plastic bag.
Deputy Terry Wade, who was supervising Gray going through a metal detector for weapons, took the bag and had Detective George Dallaire test the green-leafy substance. It tested positive for marijuana.
Gray told Deputy Cain she only used he marijuana recreationally when her children were not present.
Criminal charges were filed against Gray on June 12 and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. Gray was arrested and posted bond.
According to court records, Gray was convicted of possession of marijuana in Harrison County in 2004.
