(BEDFORD) - An 8-year-old boy was injured after he was dragged by a truck down a driveway.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Austin Sons and his 3-year-old brother were in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado that was parked in the driveway at a home in Vinegar Hill Addition on Trinton Circle when the younger boy knocked the truck out of gear and it began to roll down the driveway.
Austin Sons was partially out of the truck and police believe he got caught by the door.
Police do not believe Austin was run over by the truck, but he was dragged a short distance. Police say after Austin fell clear of the truck it continued to roll across the road and hit a yard swing and stopped.
Austin suffered bruises and contusions to his shoulder and upper arm area. The 3-year-old was not injured.
