(BEDFORD) - Becky Skillman Leadership Institute Seminar is slated for Friday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Kari’s Gym at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County’s Limestone Building.
The lineup features: Former Congressman Lee Hamilton, Sen. Dan Coats; Indianapolis Colts motivational speaker Josh Bleill; former IU football player and fitness expert Matt Mayberry; and Evan Brown, a Lawrence County native and Chicago-based attorney specializing in technology law.
The theme of the Skillman Leadership Institute is: "Cherish the past; embrace the future."
Skillman hopes the leadership institute provides inspiration for attendees to be all they can be, to aim higher and maximize their potential.
Skillman says Some powerful role models will share their life stories or lessons on leadership in military service, law, health and fitness, politics and beyond.
Tickets are $50 for the event, and sponsorships are available at two levels -- $1,000 and $500. Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis will facilitate discussions, and lunch will be provided by Carla's Catering.
All proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club.
