(SWITZ CITY) - Bethanie Dyar was crowned Miss Greene County 2013 at the annual 4-H Fair Queen pageant at the fairgrounds Sunday.
The Greene County Daily World reports Dyar, is the daughter of Jeff and Kia Dyar of Worthington, is a junior at White River Valley High School. She will reign over this year's fair passing out ribbons, plaques, and trophies to winners.
She is a member of both FFA and 4-H. She is involved in her church, Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church. Annually, she organizes a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of her great-aunt Diane (Dyar) Wall. She's also involved in her high school's peer mentoring program.
This year's 1st runner up and Miss Congeniality is Jesse McDonald. It's obvious that McDonald is congenial as she was named Miss Congeniality at the Indiana V olunteer Firefighters Association Miss Flame Pageant in June. McDonald, a senior at White River Valley High School, is the daughter of Russ and Michaele McDonald.
Paige Hoffeditz, the daughter of Brad and Kimberly Nickless and David Hoffeditz, was named 2nd runner up.
The crowning of a new queen meant the end of Kylee Nicole Grissom's reign as Miss Greene County. She was selected to represent Greene County at last year's fair.
