(LINTON) - A warrant was issued for a Bloomington man after a woman was treated in the emergency room of the Greene County General Hospital Monday afternoon.
The Greene County Daily World reports, 25-year-old Justin Brown turned himself in around 5 p.m. Wednesday. He is being charged with criminal confinement and domestic battery.
He has since posted bond and been released from jail.
Linton Police Officer Chad Crynes was called to the hospital Monday afternoon.
According to Brown's wife, who was being treated at the hospital for an illness, her husband had falen asleep in her room and started snoring. She told police she asked him to get up and he became irate.
Brown then began yelling and screaming at her and grabbed her face and when she tried to get up and leave the room, he put an arm across her chest, pushed her back toward the bed and kept her confined to the room.
An emergency room nurse told Officer Crynes that Brown was overbearing and would not let the woman answer questions about her illness. The nurse says Brown would not let the woman speak at all.
The nurse says she was at the nurse's desk when she heard the woman scream and Brown yelling obscenities at her.
When the nurse entered the room Brown stormed out and left the hospital.
Police began a search for Brown and could not find him.
Later that night the Linton Police Department received a call from Brown wanting to know if a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Pending his appearance in court, Brown has been ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
