(BLOOMINGTON) - Members of a veterans group plan on rebuilding after fire wrecked much of their post in Bloomington.
The fire on Tuesday destroyed a bar owned by AMVETS Post 2000's bar near Bloomington and badly damaged its adjacent bingo hall.
Post spokesman Dave Cobb tells The Herald-Times the buildings are fully insured and that they will be rebuilt as soon as possible. He says the post has received many offers of help because of its numerous charitable causes.
The group's bingo games are held several times a week, attracting between 80 and 200 players a night.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire. Cobb says the fire started in a kitchen of the bingo hall.
