(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman was arrested after police say she cut her boyfriend’s hand after an argument Sunday evening.
Police arrested 30-year-old Beth Ann Combs on charges of domestic battery and battery with a deadly weapon.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider officers were called to the 2600 block of East Second Street around 7 p.m.
There they found a 25-year-old man who had been battered and had a cut on his hand. He told police he lived with his girlfriend who he has a child with.
The man told police the two got into an argument and that she asked him to leave their apartment but he refused. That is when the Combs went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. The man attempted to take the knife from Combs and that is when he was cut.
After that Combs began hitting him in the face and the ring she was wearing scratched his nose and face. He also suffered other minor cuts from after she then began pushing him away from her.
Combs told police her boyfriend's injuries were caused from the ring she was wearing, however police say the wounds were not made by the ring.
