(BLOOMINGTON) - Construction of a new YMCA on the northwest side of Bloomington is on schedule to be finished this fall, but it is still underfunded.
The organization is about $2 million short of its $10.2 million goal.
YMCA officials say that should not delay completion though because the YMCA has a loan that covers the cost of construction.
Original plans for the facility included an Indiana University Healthcare Center, a track, childcare center, swimming pool and rehabilitation center.
The YMCA's marketing director says none of the planned features will be eliminated from the project. The center is set to open November 1.
YMCA memberships will be valid at both locations.
