(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Highway Superintendent David Holmes announced a tentative schedule for paving of local roads.
Highway workers will begin paving on Guthrie Road from Old State Road 37 to South Guthrie Road at 7 a.m. today.
Holmes says there will be flaggers at the intersection but no through traffic will be allowed.
On Wednesday, traffic will be shut down on Mount Pleasant Road from Harold Smith Road to the bridge south of Mount Pleasant Christian Church. and on Thursday, a crew will pave Fayetteville Coxton road from State Road 158 to Old Union Church. then, on Friday, the pavers will focus on Swifty Lane from State Road 37 to Dixie Highway.
The roadway will be closed throughout the day.
Holmes says the extended weather forecast for the county calls for a possibility of rain each day so the paving schedule could change.
