(BEDFORD) - Four people were arrested Tuesday night after police stopped the vehicle they were in at Ruler Grocery Store on 16th Street.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Deputy Mike Branham, police arrested 36-year-old Stormi Mitchell, on charges of visiting a common nuisance, reckless possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
35-year-old Troy George was charged with visiting a common nuisance, reckless possession of drug paraphernalia and invasion of privacy.
40-year-old Todd Mitchell, and 20-year-old Chalayn Eads were both charged with visiting a common nuisance.
The vehicle was stopped because the officer could not clearly see the license plate on the vehicle. He asked for assistant from a Bedford K-9 Officer who alerted police that there were possible drugs in the vehicle.
Eads, the driver and owner of the vehicle, was charged with maintaining a common nuisance. The other three were then charged with visiting a common nuisance for being in the vehicle.
Eads was charged with invasion of privacy because Stormi had a protective order against Eads.
