Gospel Concert To Benefit Mitchell Teen Andrew Terrell

Last updated on Wednesday, July 10, 2013

(MITCHELL) - The Clock and Terrell families under the name “Abraham Ministries” will provide a gospel concert and fundraiser to assist the family of Andrew Terrell, a Mitchell boy who is battling leukemia.

The concert will be Friday at the First Church of God in Mitchell and will feature the "Soul'd Out Quartet." Tickets are on sale now at the Orleans Flower Shop and Lighthouse Christian Bookstore for $5 each. Tickets can be purchased the night of the event for $7 each.

Soul'd Out Quartet is a southern gospel group and a ministry team that travels the country with a mission of evangelism and discipleship to win souls and to strengthen and encourage God's people.

Jim Clock says the goal of Abraham Ministries is to bring periodic gospel concerts to Mitchell.

The Friday event is the first of what he hopes will become a regular occurrence in Mitchell.

Before the concert begins at 7 p.m., there will be concessions sold, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks, and all the proceeds from the sale of the food will go to help the family of Andrew Terrell.

Clock says the families are not related to the Mitchell Junior High School student, but that his grandson is good friends with Andrew, so the family wanted to do something to help.

Food sales begin at 5 p.m. and will continue through 6:45 p.m.

For more information, call Clock at 797-0364.
