(LINTON) - Downtown Linton property owners who need to repair their masonry work will soon be getting a visit from Fire Chief Brad Sparks.
The Greene County Daily World reports, that Sparks says some downtown businesses have stonework that needs to be fixed because it is a safety issue.
.
The task of monitoring properties that are in disrepair or possibly in violation of city ordinances is assigned to the Linton Fire Department and Sparks spoke to the City Council about his concerns.
Sparks says he'd already talked to some property owners but they might not have taken him seriously.
Sparks, with the Council's permission, will be making the rounds again and he's going to be getting more aggressive about buildings in need of repair.
