(LINTON) - A 64-year-old Sandborn man was arrested by Linton police officers Saturday evening after he drove his car into moving water then allegedly refused to follow orders and argued with officers.
The Greene County Daily World reports, Robert Galsman drove a car into the water around 6:45 p.m. at County Road 1100 W and Baseline Road in Linton.
According to a police report the car stalled and Alsman was trying to push the car out of the water, but an officer arrived and told him to leave the vehicle where it was so that it would not be a road hazard when the water subsided.
Alsman argued with the officer and refused to leave the vehicle.
Officer Josh Goodman had to go pull Alsman from the water and that is when Galsman pushed away from the officer.
Backup was called and officers were finally able to handcuff Alsman and pull him from the water.
Alsman was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement and refusal to aid an officer. Alsman posted bond and was released from jail.
