(BLOOMINGTON) - A 32-year-old Bloomington man was injured after he was hit in the face during a brawl at Kilroys-Dunnkirk bar on East Kirkwood Avenue.
Police were called to the bar around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Police say between 30 to 50 people were involved in the fight along with the bar staff who were attempting to break up the brawl that started in the bar and then ended in the street.
When police arrived several of those involved had moved behind the building and ran when police arrived. The manager and several bouncers were injured when they were hit in the face attempting to break up the fight. But they chose not to file charges.
Police say the 32-year-old, who was extremely intoxicated and being carried by another male, was taken to the hospital. He told police, a black man had punched him, knocking him to the ground where he hit his head on a trailer in the parking lot causing a bruise to the right side of his face. He added the man hit him two more times before running from the scene.
Police say the case is closed because those involved could not provide enough information to make an arrest.
