(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he was causing a disturbance while sitting in a vehicle outside of Oakland City University Monday afternoon.
Bedford Police received a 911 call at just after 4 p.m. reporting a man in a parked green Toyota in front of the college was hanging out of the vehicle and yelling and being irate.
When police arrived they found 38-year-old Charles Riggs, of Mitchell.
Police say they discovered Riggs was wanted on an outstanding warrant and was also intoxicated on a controlled substance.
They arrested Riggs, who was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a public intoxication charge, public intoxication on a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school.
