Old Brownstown Freight Depot Moved To Ewing

(BROWNSTOWN) - A historic 100-year-old freight depot in Brownstown has found a new home in Ewing.

The building, which was built about 1910, was moved Thursday morning.

"Now we're ready to lay the concrete blocks for the foundation and put the roof back on it," Darlene Butt said after watching the move of the depot.

CSX Transportation agreed to give the depot to the town, but it had to be moved off the railroad's right-of-way. That's 40 feet, Butt said.
