(BROWN COUNTY) - One person was injured in an early Sunday morning crash in Brown County.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office says that just before 4 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to an accident with an overturned vehicle at State Road 46 West and Treatment Plant Road. When first responders arrived, they found an SUV on its roof and the driver trapped inside.
William Shipman,told police he fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road. The Brown County Volunteer Fire Department was able to free Shipman from the vehicle by removing a door from the SUV.
Shipman who suffered some minor bleeding and back pain was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital.
Police learned later that Shipman's license is suspended due to a prior conviction of driving while suspended and he was again charged with that offense.
