(PAOLI) - Sonya Zeller has joined the Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital administrative team as vice president, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer.
A hospital news release reports Zeller, in her new role, "will provide leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of hospital activities to ensure compliance with established objectives and the realization of quality, patient safety, patient satisfaction, risk management, survey preparation and economical healthcare services."
Zeller is pursuing her doctorate of nursing practice from Indiana Wesleyan University. She earned a master's degree in business from IWU and a master's degree in nursing science from the University of Southern Indiana. She is also a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow Alumnus.
She has led cancer operations for 12 regional hospitals and one proton center. She also collaborates to develop strategic vision, design services and programs, recruit and retain clinical staff, monitor clinical outcomes and define and implement best practices.
Zeller and her husband Charles reside in Bloomington. They have two sons, Jeremy of Philadelphia, Pa., and Zachary of Zionsville. She attends Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and is an active volunteer for community and church events.
