(BLOOMINGTON) - A suspect lead officers from Indiana University, Monroe County, and Owen County on a chase through two counties Sunday afternoon.
Officials say an IU police officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Walnut Street, just off campus.
The driver refused to stop and lead the officer on a chase.
Monroe County officers were called in to help with the pursuit.
The chase lasted about 30 minutes and went into Owen County, where the driver ultimately crashed his vehicle.
The driver then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers were not able to catch the driver.
