(MITCHELL) - Drivers in Mitchell are reminded that Hancock Avenue and 12th Street are still closed to through traffic during sidewalk construction.
The closures that went into effect on Monday will take place only while crews are working.
The streets were to remain open, but city officials ruled in favor of closures during construction because of the speed of cars traveling through the construction zones.
Residents in the construction area will still be able to get to their properties.
Anyone that must travel through the construction zone is reminded to keep speed well under the posted speed limit to make sure work crews are safe.
