(PATOKA) - The Patoka Lake 22nd Annual Star Party is scheduled for tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Patoka Lake Beach.
Enjoy a special presentation by members of the Louisville & Evansville Astronomical Societies and the Stonebelt Stargazers of Bedford, as they share their knowledge of the sky above.
There will be kid's activities and giveaways until dark.
A special astronomy program will be held at 6:30p.m. under the tent on the beach. Telescopes will be set up for observations of Venus and Saturn as darkness falls.
The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($7 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164.
