(JACKSON CO.) - Three people were injured in an accident involving a car and tractor Wednesday night in Jackson County.
According to a Jackson County Police Department reports, the accident happened at 7:50 p.m., 59-year-old Wayne VonDielingen, of Brownstown, was driving his tractor east on U.S. 50 and attempted to turn left across both lanes of traffic into a driveway at 530 East U.S. 50 when a car traveling behind him, driven by 19-year-old Paula Campos of Seymour, hit the left front of VonDielingen's tractor.
VonDielingen told police he checked his mirror before he turned, but did not see Campos' car coming from behind him.
After hitting the tractor Campos' car went off the roadway and a Frontier utility box.
Police says Campos, who suffered head injuries, was in and out of consciousness and was taken to the Scheck Medical Center for treatment she was then flown to Methodist Hospital.
Her passengers, 20-year-old Katlyn Johnson of Columbus, complained of chest pain and 19-year-old Jordan Wilson of Edinburgh complained of neck and head pain. Both were taken by personal vehicle to the hospital.
VonDielingen was not injured.
