(NASHVILLE) - The suspect who police believe killed four people in a Waynesville home in May will reach a plea agreement for an unrelated Brown County case.
The Republic reports Samuel E. Sallee attended a change of plea hearing Monday in Nashville where he pleaded guilty to battery.
Sallee's battery charge was supposed to go to trial last week.
Police say Sallee, 55, fatally shot Katheryn Burton, 53, Aaron Cross, 41, Thomas Smith, 39, and Shawn L. Burton, 41.
Sallee is being held in the Brown County Jail.
He faces legal problems tied to the Waynesville deaths and battery charge.
Police say he allegedly hit a relative with a small paddle to the head earlier this year.
