(SALEM) - Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, Salem City Police were notified a customer of PNC Bank on the square had been robbed.
A woman told police a man came up to her and snatched her bank deposit bag from her hands and took off running.
Police rushed to the scene and began searching for the man who took off running toward Riley's Place Park. Police later learned the man may have run down Water Street.
Police did not find the man, but they do have photos from the bank's surveillance camera of the robbery.
Anyone with information about the robbery or man is asked to call the Salem Police Department at 883-5100.
