(TAYLOR MI.) - Bedford 13&14 Year Old All Stars who are now 2-2 defeated New York 11-9.
The No.4 seed the Bedford All Stars will face off with the Czech Republic in the second consolation game Friday which will begin at 10:30 a.m
Here are some play by play from DJ Steven Gillepie who covered the game live in Taylor today.
Bedford All Stars lead 4-2 after 2 innings of play
Bedford All Stars secured a double play and wrap up the second inning with Bedford All Stars leading New York 4-2.
New York ties the score 4-4 in the bottom of the third inning.
The Bedford All Stars score 4 in the top of the 4th to take an 8-4 lead.
After four innings, the Bedford All Stars 8 New York 5.
After 5 inning of play the Bedford All Stars lead New York 8-5
New York takes the lead; scores four runs in the bottom of the 6th. The Bedford All Stars trail New York, 9-8.
Ronnie Watson hits a double bringing two runs in with the Stars taking the lead 10 to 9. Then Watson scores on a wild pitch leading 11 to 9 with two outs in the top of the seventh.
That will conclude pool play, and the International vs. United States games start on Friday, with USA No.5 seed challenging International 5 seed in the opener. The No.4 face The Bedford All Stars will face off with the Czech Republic in the second consolation game which will begin at 10:30 a.m, with the No.3 seeds to follow.
The All Stars will now play the Czech Republic on Friday. As soon as we know a time we will update the story.
The top two seeds in the International bracket vie at 4 p.m., Friday, with the winner advancing to the world championship game. The top two U.S. seeds duel at 7 p.m., for the United States championship.
