(BLOOMFIELD) - Four area Bloomfield residents have now been arrested on drug-related charges as part of an ongoing investigation in the Greene County seat.
The Greene County Daily World reports that on Wednesday, Bloomfield Lt. Marshal Jeremy Inman reported those arrested were: Thomas Jeffrey Kean, 48, of Bloomfield; Brandi Christine Marshall, 31, of rural Bloomfield; and Jerry D. Carmichael Jr., 37, of Bloomfield.
The Wednesday arrests, carried out by the Bloomfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff's Department, took place in the late afternoon at a 227 S. Judge Street residence.
Around noon on Thursday, 38-year-old Jennifer Padgett, of Bloomfield, was booked into the Greene County Jail. Deputy Inman was the arresting officer.
Carmichael is being held on a preliminary charge of dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of day care, a class A felony.
Kean faces a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.
Marshall was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, a class C felony.
Padgett is being held on a preliminary charge of aiding in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class C felony.
Probable cause affidavits have been forwarded to the Greene County Prosecutor's office for review. All four individuals are being held without bond, pending initial court appearances in Greene Superior Court.
Bloomfield Town Marshal Ken Tharp told the Greene County Daily World on Thursday afternoon that the four arrests were part of an ongoing investigation by his department and he added, "There are other arrests pending."
Further details about the four cases are expected to be released this week.
